One of the most tangible results of climate change and one of the most important destruction areas, forest fires destroy thousands of hectares of land in the world and in our country every year, together with extreme weather conditions such as temperature increase. The first forest fire of the summer months of 2022 started on Tuesday evening, June 21, in Hisarönü District of Marmaris. The fire was extinguished at the end of the fourth day.

Cyanide has spread to nature in Erzincan!

It was claimed by a citizen on 22 June 2022 that the cyanide pipe exploded in the gold mine belonging to the American and Canadians in Erzincan and mixed with the Euphrates river. The allegations were confirmed by the Erzincan Governorate and an investigation was launched. It was announced that it was determined that about 20 cubic meters of solution flowed due to the malfunction.

On the other hand, experts state that the mine is a threat in the region with earthquake risk. Necessary controls and regulations should be provided in order not to destroy nature while consuming!

As we approach the G7 Summit…

It is a matter of curiosity for the whole world to what extent the results of the G7 Summit, which will take place at the end of June, will contribute to the fight against the global climate crisis. The G7, which was established after the 1973 oil crisis, is expected to focus on the energy sector and natural gas issues in addition to the war in Ukraine, food and climate crisis agendas at this summit. The results of the summit are also very important in terms of new steps to be taken to fulfill the commitments and agreements made at the previous summits. It is also expected that signals will be given at this summit what kind of a system is being considered in terms of food safety.
