Environment Ministers of EU Countries Take New Decision for Gasoline and Diesel Fueled Vehicles for 2035

At the meeting of the environment ministers of the countries that are members of the European Union, in Luxembourg, a consensus was reached on the proposal of Germany that gasoline and diesel fueled vehicles would not be licensed in 2035. It was decided to give the license only to cars and light commercial vehicles that do not emit carbon dioxide, such as electric and e-fuel vehicles. In this change made by the European Union within the scope of the climate package, the issue of e-fuel is still being discussed since it is not known whether it harms the environment.

Çanakkale Governorate Introduced a New Regulation for Forest Fires.

Çanakkale Governor's Office has taken a new decision about forest fires, which has been a frequent occurrence in our country in recent years, an issue that we, as STEP, put a lot of emphasis on. According to the decision, it is prohibited to enter forest areas between July 2 and September 15, as it is expected to occur in recent forest fires and meteorological conditions with high risk such as high temperature, extreme wind, low humidity. In addition, it was decided to inform the citizens about the risk of forest fires by means of communication and to keep the vehicles that can be used in forest fires and the staff ready for duty in critical weather.
